Next User Group Meeting - Thursday, December 14, 2006 |
Robyn Myers welcomed the group to the 4th quarter Rocky Mountain Lawson User Group Meeting, which had 40 attendees. Robyn thanked Einstein Bros for the location and providing breakfast and lunch, Dave Amen of Kastle Consulting for maintaining the ROMLUG web site, Rhonda Schuler and Kitty Brozinski for assisting in finding speakers for the meeting, and all the speakers who attended the meeting. Robyn asked the group for topic ideas for future meetings. Most of the topics were surrounding Lawson 8.0. Other suggestions were BSI tax factory, E-Recruiting, Canadian Payroll, and Enterprise Reporting tool. Joyce Fell of Denver Public Schools updated the group that the committee is putting a hold on getting a Non-profit status for the Rocky Mountain Lawson User Group. The committee discovered that we have to establish our organization dues structure prior to initiating the Non-profit status. The committee will focus on improving participation in the user group before pursuing the Non-profit status. Robyn Myers announced that Kitty Brozinski, the Lawson Healthcare client manager as our Co-liaison for our user group. Kitty Bronzinski presented Lawson’s New KnowledgeDB Project:

Jim talked about the process, services, tools, and the opportunities for success. An excellent lunch, provided by Einstein Bros Bagel, consisted of an assortment of bagel sandwiches, chips, salads, and cookies.
After lunch, Rhonda Schuler, the Lawson National Training Manager, demonstrated the new Lawson Enhancement Request system.
Bryan Heifer from Lawson presented on Payroll year-end processing. He talked about the Year End websites, Lawson System changes specific to year 2001, and year-end procedures.
This was the best ROMLUG meeting so far - they just keep improving in terms of content and fellow Lawson experts to connect with. Don't miss the next meeting!
