Attached
are the Financial Statements for December 31, 2010 and the six months then ended. They read best when printed out so a proper
heading shows up on each report.
1. New
terminology:
a. Statement of
Activities=Profit & Loss
b. Statement of Financial
Position=Balance Sheet
c. Statement of Cash
Flows=no change
2. The six months covered by
the Statement of Activities really covers the entire 2010 conference year so
that is the important document. It shows RM RYLA operated at a loss of
$1,946 for the year. This is not bad in my view given the extra admin
expenses.
3. The budget presented at the
last meeting should be accurate. I still need to go over each conference
budget with the respective chairs.
4. Other work during the
quarter:
a. Filed the
b. Filed the updated
activity report with Nationwide, the Excess Medical Insurance carrier
c. Completed and filed the
Form 990 EZ, Exempt Organization Return, for FYE June 30, 2010 with the IRS
d. Assisted with the
Visioning project, chaired by Bill Rubin
e. Started the DIRECTOR
BOOK; first draft given to President Jim.
f. First draft of plan to
celebrate the 25th anniversary of RYLA Conference (and by default,
RM RYLA); email attached.
g. Transferred all the
equipment and supplies to a smaller storage space costing $64 plus tax per
month. This is about half of the previous monthly cost.
