Registrar’s Report

May 19, 2012

Yours truly has been hugely distracted with other pressing issues and has only been able to respond to the dozen or so daily e-mails – without proactively sending info to the RYLA Reps, but the vast majority have been handling it quite well!

  • 266 RYLA approved, 198 Finalized.
  • 244 Young RYLA approved, 157 Finalized
(doesn’t include 5 more Summit County is willing to add).

  • 6 for Young RYLA

Of the Young RYLA applicants, here are the numbers for each of the 2 camps:

Early June: Will send an e-mail to all Finalized applicants with a link to details about where, when, what to bring, etc.

Registration Volunteers

Ian Tuttle, Pam Krehbiel (who cannot be a JC this year, by the way) and Stefan Folkesson, guided by Jan Keyton, are doing a fantastic job reviewing paperwork and uploading it to the web! Remember, we’re working with 4,000 pages now.

Marc Solnet is recovering well from a broken neck, is doing a fantastic job as a RYLA Rep, and is ready to attack the technical side of registration (waiting on me)!

Abby Solnet will be reminding our 100-odd counselors to complete the Abuse-Harassment background check permission form.

Wayne Markel will coordinate drivers from western Wyoming, assist the JC’s calling applicants in the 2 weeks before each RYLA, and track down drivers for conferees who we discover at the last minute have no ride home.

Heather Amen has unofficially been managing and enhancing the RYLA Board section on the web site.

Respectfully submitted,

Dave Amen
